SPEAKER DANLADI JATAU TIPPED FOR HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES SEAT









The Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Dr. Danladi Jatau, has emerged as a prominent figure in discussions surrounding the House of Representatives seat for Kokona, Keffi, and Karu Federal Constituency.

Political stakeholders across the constituency have pointed to the Speaker’s legislative depth and grassroots engagement as defining attributes that strengthen his profile for federal representation.

Jatau, who presides over the state legislature, has cultivated a reputation for consensus-building, procedural discipline, and structured legislative oversight. 

Under his leadership, the Assembly has deliberated and passed a number of development-focused bills aimed at reinforcing governance structures and institutional efficiency within Nasarawa State.

Commenting on the growing calls for his candidacy, Sir Danjuma Arinbo, who doubles as Special Adviser to the Speaker on Security Matters, alongside other aides, emphasized that Jatau’s foundation in local governance  including his tenure at the council level has sustained his close ties with constituents.

 According to them, community leaders consistently describe the Speaker as accessible, consultative, and responsive to grassroots priorities, particularly in youth empowerment, infrastructure advocacy, and social development initiatives.

As political realignments gradually unfold, attention remains fixed on Rt. Hon. Dr. Danladi Jatau and what could mark the next phase of his public service career.
