NO ALIA, NO BENUE SLOGAN: A TRUST REPOSED ON THE GOVERNOR BY THE PEOPLE

 ~Digital Aluta Ene.

Time for political permutation is not here but it seems the slogan hitting the screen and neighbourhood of our people has an echoing tune that is strange to political oppositions. While some have gleefully attributed it to desperation on the part of the governor, it is mere figment of their imagination to think the number one Chief Executive Officer of the state who don't have the luxury of lavishing money on things that don’t matter will be caught in such political desperado. Money don't drive him, development does.

No Alia, NO Benue, is just an appreciative chant from the people as a result of the speed of development and socio-economic projects going on in the state and top among them are infrastructural revolution and agricultural development. The recent purchase of over 40 tractors just to augument the old ones, is a pointer that the old food basket of the nation is ready to take her place in the comity of state in Nigeria.

Gov. Alia is just one leader that is aggressive with the state of decay in virtually all sectors in Benue state and he has declared it to be a crime should he sit in the office using same approach that his predecessors used without making headway, as such numerous toes have been stepped on politically and otherwise. What matters to him, is to leave th state in a better position, a state where indigenes will be proud to reside, do business and feel secure.

As it stands,  nobody has come close to the performance of the governor using every parametric available for the measurement.  It is true that Benue state is not there yet due to dark years of leadership deficit and political alienation as regards development but now we have seen the rocket science manner of development. The entire people or majority perse have decided to stand with Mr.  Governor and play their own part with the sloganeering chant of "NO Alia, NO Benue"! What are you doing?
